Naomi Habib

Dr. Habib leads a lab at the Hebrew University, established in 2018, focusing on aging-related brain pathologies, particularly Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), and neuro-immune interactions. Her interdisciplinary research combines neuroscience, genomics, and computational biology, leveraging high-throughput molecular profiling and AI modeling to uncover the mechanisms of aging and disease.
Dr. Habib earned her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in computer science and biology at the Hebrew University. She completed her postdoctoral training at MIT and the Broad Institute with Dr. Feng Zhang and Dr. Aviv Regev, contributing to the development of two transformative technologies, CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing and single-nucleus RNA sequencing. Her lab was established with the generous support of Viviana Khazzam, and she holds the Goren-Khazzam Chair in Neuroscience.
